I recently went to the amazing Gemini G.E.L. art gallery for an exquisite showing of Frank Gehry’s work created exclusively for the gallery.
It was a great evening with great art, good conversation and an opportunity to meet Mr Gehry himself. Of course, my favorite part was viewing the work space and checking out the supplies. I thought the gallery kept the space neat and I loved the organization.
I was fortunate enough to speak with the brilliant artist Richard Serra’s assistant Xavier Fumat (an amazing Photographer in his own rite). He confided that the studio is usually in terrible disarray and it took days to whip it into its current shape.
Xavier has invited me to the gallery to watch Mr. Serra work (AMAZING) on his current project for the gallery and in turn I will give him a few ideas to help corral the clutter. I cannot wait and I will post any updates.
Below are a few photos of all the inspiring art supplies and a few of my favorite Gehry paintings from the evening.
