Just Do It…Right.

Just Do It…Right.

The greatest lesson I’ve learned thus far in life is to do things right the first time around.

You can skip steps and still get desired results,  but chances are, your foundation may never be as secure as if you did things the correct way.

This message can be applied to the tangible and to the abstract.

When I organize someone’s home, I don’t skip the steps that others may be tempted to gloss over.  A simple example of this came up the other day.  I was organizing an office, and rather than group all 150 pens that were scattered throughout the room into a large container, I took the time to test each pen and found that about 25 of the 150 pens actually worked. That’s pretty significant when you want to find the right container or area for an item.

I think a lot of us do this with a lot of our stuff. I also think we do it when me make choices and decisions. Taking the time to research and make a well thought out plan builds your confidence and increases your sense of security.  Maybe checking to see if a pen works won’t solve all of your problems, but you will have something to write with the next time you need to jot something down!
